GET TO KNOW DANIEL

Growing up on a farm in South-western Ontario, I inherited my father's passion for rocks, trees, and water. When I turned 14, my parents and I moved to the North Shore of Lake Huron, where I spent many joyful hours exploring the outdoors, boating, and camping. I fell in love with the beauty of the north and the peace it offered. After marrying my wonderful wife, Elsie, we settled in Carling Township, just north of Parry Sound. We've been blessed with two amazing children, Jordan and Joyce, and we treasure our time together as a family, whether we're out on a boat ride, hiking trails, or simply enjoying the breathtaking surroundings. I enjoy giving back to my community in various ways. Each week, I volunteer with Parry Sound Harvest Share to assist them with their local food rescue program. Most winters, my family and I volunteer with Mennonite Disaster Service to rebuild homes across Canada and the US that have been devastated by natural disasters, such as forest fires and floods.
